is the founder of Pediatric Alternatives, opening the office in 1998. She graduated from Tufts University Medical School in Boston, MA, in 1989 and completed her pediatric residency at Oakland Children Hospital, Oakland, CA, in 1992. In addition to her training in western medicine, Dr. Kenet studied herbal medicine at the Pacific School of Herbal Medicine and is experienced using homeopathic medicine and energy medicine techniques in her practice. Her focus is promoting wellness through proper nutrition and a balanced lifestyle, addressing the physical, emotional and spiritual dimensions of illness. "Early on in my pediatric career I realized that the disease-focused care I was trained in did not fit my beliefs of how to best care for children, and that we needed a new model. Since that time my goal has been to create a model that is wellness-based. The knowledge of what is true health, combined with the insights I have gained through my own experience being a mother, guides me in my practice of medicine."

A Board Certified pediatrician, Lindy graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1979. After completing her pediatric residency at Milwaukee Children’s Hospital in 1982, she raised her children Sam and Abby and practiced pediatrics in Milwaukee, WI, until moving to California in 1995. A desire to learn another system of medicine led her to the Institute of Classical Homeopathy, where she completed course work in 2001. “I found my way to integrative medicine through my stomach. My love of food, a brother with celiac disease and a sensitive stomach sent me to my laboratory, the kitchen. I have always felt that food is medicine and can be the cause and cure for many childhood diseases such as allergies and eczema. I consider homeopathy, nutrition and gut health to be the framework for understanding wellness and curing disease.”

While at Stanford she received three awards for teaching excellence. She also completed the University of Arizona Integrative Medicine program developed by Dr. Andrew Weil. "Through my roles as a patient, student, and practitioner of wellness-based medicine, I seek to balance the Western acute-care model with holistic and whole-person approaches. I credit my mother, a Chinese immigrant, with introducing me to this integrative approach. Growing up she used traditional Chinese herbs in addition to modern medicine to treat our family. On my own wellness path I've been very fortunate to receive mentorship by Dr. John Mark, Dr. Fredi Kronenberg, and Dr. Sara Gottfried. I also consider my seventeen year yoga practice to be integral to my understanding of health and wellness. I'm honored and excited to serve the Pediatric Alternatives community

“As a new mother raising two young girls, I have gained a deeper appreciation for the role of nutritious food, herbal remedies, supplements, as well as the value of integrative approaches and practitioners. I am grateful for my mother’s emphasis on home-cooked meals and open-minded approach to health, as well as for the guidance of my mentors at Pediatric Alternatives. As a California native, I enjoy exploring the beauty of Marin County and traveling abroad. I cherish spending time with my family, practicing yoga, watercoloring, and seeking out new experiences.
